Midland Cryogenics Ltd is one of the longest established and most experienced pipe freezing companies in the UK. MCL has been providing pipe freezing services since 1979. MCL are able to freeze pipes of diameters of to 24" and above. Pipe freezing is a well established method of isolating pipework, throughout a range of industries. MCL is used for the provision of pipe freezing services by both end clients who stipulate MCL as the provider within their specification, and by various pipework / heating contractors around the country, with whom we work in conjunction, wherever their needs are situated.

Pipe freezing is becoming a more and more popular means of achieving isolations, to enable work to be carried out on pipework systems, on a variety of liquids.MCL has successfully isolated heating systems in schools and hospitals, chilled water systems in computer centres, glycol solutions in breweries, steam condensate return lines on refineries. MCL also specialise in the pipe freezing of live, large diameter fire mains in power stations and high pressure sprinkler protection systems in offices and shopping centres.

Pipe freezing is not necessarily the answer to every problem, but if you have a large system which it is preferable not to drain down, or a complicated heating system which could cause several days of problems trying to bleed, if you have an expensive or hazardous liquid which creates difficulties in collection and storage, then pipe freezing may be the solution. Our engineering staff all have extensive experience throughout the full range of industries, and we are able to attend site to offer technical advice or assistance in assessing the feasibility of utilising pipe freezing services.
