Offering a rare and comprehensive collection of
over 6,000 works of modern art this museum is an important building. 

 

With temperatures outside around 40ºC the threat
of having to shut down the main air-conditioning system at any stage is of major concern. 

 

MCL was called in to undertake the pipe freezing during the night over many days. A total of 8 major 10 inch air-conditioning system pipes were successfully frozen to facilitate faulty valve replacement. 

 

In addition to the physical work, the equipment logistics for the location supply and return of the specialist plant provided its own challenges.
The work was conducted in a sensitive low key manner by expert technicians.
